How it started
In early 2022 I purchased a small Gite in Brittany, France with two beautiful oak trees in the garden. It had not been lived in for over 30 years. This is my story so far of bringing it back to life.
The Purchase
I found it on www.french-property.com. French government red tape is a bit tiresome, and it took about 6 months from having my offer accepted, to becoming the owner.
My first trip involved breaking open the padlocks as the seller had neglected to give me any keys! Brambles in the garden were very well established and well above head height, making it difficult to get an idea of what was in the garden and what the space might feel like.
As of the end of 2025 I now have a small solar panel system for electricity and a starlink internet connection
